Step 1
To thaw 1/2 a bag of dumplings dough spread it out on a baking sheet and place in a cold oven. Turn the oven on to 250°F and set the timer for 5 minutes.
Step 2
In a very large kettle add water 3/4 full, bouillon and 1/4c butter, bring to a boil then add the dough and boil for 1 hr.
Step 3
While the dough cooks cut up the vegetables. Add the carrots and celery, cook for 15 more minutes, then add the potatoes. continue cooking for 15 minutes.
Step 4
You might need to add more water and bouillon. Turn the heat to medium simmer and add the can of cream of onion, the remaining butter, the cream, parsley and salt and pepper. Bring it back up to a bubbling simmer and serve hot!
