Instructions
Step 1
In a double boiler, melt chocolate and shortening.
Step 2
Stir until smooth.
Step 3
Remove from heat.
Step 4
Pour 1/2 into a foil lined 8 inch square pan.
Step 5
Refrigerate until firm.
Step 6
Combine caramels, water and butter.
Step 7
Place mixture on low heat until smooth.
Step 8
Stir in nuts.
Step 9
Pour into chocolate lined pan.
Step 10
Spread evenly and top with remaining melted chocolate.
Step 11
Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
Step 12
Cut into bite sized pieces.
