Step 1
Pour oil into large skillet
When oil is hot, put in onion and mushrooms. Sauté until onions turn slightly translucent
Add garlic and stir together with onion and mushrooms. Remove from heat.
In another frying pan, cook ground beef. Add red pepper flakes and half salt and pepper to meat. When completely cooked, add to onion mixture and return to heat.
Stir in tomato sauce and tomato paste. Add remaining salt, pepper and other herbs.
Cover and let simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Taste and add more seasoning if necessary.
Serve as a “chili,” or over zucchini noodles
