An old recipe passed down to me from my Mom. She got it from the then Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, Pearl McGonigal. So good. Plus goes great with beer.

The Cereals:
The Spices:
2 TbspSeasoning Salt
2 TbspHickory Smoked Salt
or 1 tbsp Liquid Smoke
2 tspMarjoram
2 tspSummer Savory
ground
1 tspgarlic powder
1 tsponion salt
¼ tspcayenne pepper

Instructions
Step 1
Pre-Heat oven to 200°F.
OvenPreheat
Step 2
Pour all the cereals together in a large roasting pan.
Step 3
If using liquid smoke add it to the canola oil before you add the oil to the mix.
Step 4
Add the Canola Oil and mix well, using a spatula for turning.
Step 5
Mix all the spices together then dust the spices over the cereals, in three layers remixing after each layer of seasoning.
Step 6
Bake at 200°F for 3 hours turning every 20 minutes.
Step 7
Add the mixed nuts and pretzels to the roaster.
Step 8
Carefully mix the nuts and pretzels into the cereal using the spatula.
