Chicken Noodle Casserole

Instructions

Step 1
In a large saucepan, fill 2/3 full of water and bring to boil. Add salt and then noodles. Reduce to low boil. Cook approximately 8 minutes or until tender. Drain. Return to empty saucepan.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan melt butter and saute onions. Then blend in flour and spices. Add milk slowly while stirring. Cook and stir until well mixed. Bring just to a boil so sauce will thicken (add 1 tablespoon milk if sauce is too thick).
Step 3
In first saucepan, mix together cook, drained noodles and white sauce. Add chicken and toss lightly with noodles.
Step 4
Put mixture in 9" x 13" glass casserole dish. Sprinkle top with bread crumbs or crushed potato chips. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes or until heated through. Add cheese during the last 15 minutes.
