Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450°

Pound the chicken with the smooth side of a mallet to a thickness of 1/2 inch
Step 3
Pat dry then sprinkle with salt and flour over the chicken
Step 4
Crack an egg in a separate bowl and whisk until smooth. On a flat plate, pour the panko bread crumbs and grate Parmesan. Combine.
Step 5
Add the chicken into the egg mixture until fully covered and then transfer to the panko plate. Use your hands to make sure the panko evenly coats the chicken
Step 6
Transfer to an oiled pan over medium high heat and let it cook for 2 minutes on each side. It will continue cooking in the oven!
Step 7
Move to a baking dish and add 2 tbsp of tomato sauce onto each chicken breast. Then top with mozzarella and basil.
Step 8
Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked!
