Step 1
Fry onions in butter until lightly brown
Step 2
Scrap the bottom, add everything else except cream. Chop vegetables roughly, as they're going to be mashed. Get in just enough water to cover the vegetables.
Step 3
Boil for 20 minutes on low flame.
Step 4
Mash with blender. When warm instead of hot, add cream and spice to taste.
