Making your own beef tallow is a terrific way to use extra fat trimmings from brisket or other parts of the cow. In place of butter or oil, the beef tallow tastes great and is a great alternative

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven 390 Fahrenheit

Line a baking pan with foil and place your beef fat into the pan, I used the extra beef fat I removed from my short ribs, but you may use any beef fat of your choosing
Step 3
Place in oven for 1 hour
Step 4
After an hour, let the tallow cool for 20 minutes before transferring it to your jar
Step 5
Suitable for up to a year, keep in the refrigerator or at room temperature
