Instructions
Step 1
Whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. Rough chop chocolate. Melt butter.
Step 2
Combine brown and white sugar in mixer with paddle on low. Add butter. Add whole egg and increase speed to med-low. Add egg yolk and vanilla. Add flour mixture and combine.
Step 3
Remove from mixer and fold in chocolate.
Step 4
Cover dough by pressing wrap directly onto top of dough. Rest in fridge for 45 minutes to overnight.
Step 5
Bake at 350 8-10 minutes for smaller cookies (~2 inch), 10-12 minutes for larger cookies (~4 inch). After 6 minutes, pick up pan 1 inch and drop onto oven rack. Do again after 2 minutes more. Finish baking.
