Instructions
Step 1
Sear onions in a 1/2 tbsp. of butter until slightly browned on bottom. Then sprinkle a pinch of sugar to create a caramelization effect. Squeeze 1 tbsp. of ketchup, 1/2 tbsp. of BBQ Sauce (optional) and 1 tspn. or (1 squirt) of Sriracha or Hot Sauce. Let cook and caramelize for 2-4 mins.
Step 2
Add the pre-roasted garlic.
Step 3
Sift in flour. Stir until clumpy.
Step 4
Add in all liquid ingredients in the saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat. Simmer, stirring all ingredients until well blended, about 5 minutes.
Step 5
Brush glaze on fish or poultry during last 5-10 minutes of grilling. Or use as a dipping sauce.
Step 6
Leftover glaze can be stored in the refrigerator.
