Instructions
The Cream
Step 1
Whisk in remaining cream, vanilla, and milt oil or extract.
Step 2
Whisk sugar with the milk and some cream until the sugar dissolves.
The Freeze
Step 3
Pour the base into the ice cream maker and begin freezing.
Step 4
About the time you start freezing the ice cream, melt the chocolate. I like to use a double boiler. A microwave can be used but be careful not to burn the chocolate. Use low power (30%) and stir with a butter knife in intervals of about 30 seconds. The chocolate should be smooth.
Step 5
When the ice cream is nearing the end of the freeze, you will see the volume begin to increase. While the maker is freezing, drizzle in the melted chocolate with the butter knife. The chocolate will solidify and break into small pieces.
