Instructions
Step 1
In a large saucepan bring the water to the boil and add the pear.
Step 2
Cut a slit in the vanilla bean lengthways and add the vanilla bean to the brew and simmer for 10 minutes with the lid on.
Step 3
If you would like a sweet tea, stir in the rice malt syrup, to taste.
Step 4
Using a slotted spoon remove the pears and store them in a sealed container for snacks.
Step 5
Store the leftover tea in a jug in the fridge.
