MARILYN’S NOTE: I have never made a sweet tzimmes so I had to do some research. This recipe for a sweet tzimmes sounded interesting to me. I’m going to try it, so let’s hope it turns out for all of us! I make a savory Tzimmes.

medium, coarsely diced
1sweet potatoes
medium, coarsely diced
1baking apples
large, seeded and coarsely diced
½ cupgranulated sugar
½ cuplight brown sugar
packed
½ cupunsalted margarine
melted
½ cupmatzo meal
½ cuppitted prunes
optional 1/2 cup raisins, optional
2 tablespoonssweet wine
or 2 tablespoons orange juice
½ teaspoonsalt
½ teaspoonground cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°. Grease an 11×7-inch baking pan. By hand or in a food processor in two batches, chop and mix all ingredients.
Step 2
Put in prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes or until browned and bubbly.
