Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°c, grease or line a flan tray

Step 2
Place the butter into a mixing bowl and seive flour over the top. Using the tips of your fingers, rub the mixture together. Keep doing this until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Once at this state, add a bit of water and mix to form a dough, adding more water if needed.
Step 3
Once into a dough, sprinkle some flour onto a hard work surface and roll pastry out to required size. Place into flan tray and gently press into the edges to fit, leaving any excess hanging over the sides. Place baking parchment onto the bottom and fill with baking beans, blind bake for around 5-10 minutes.
