Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450.
Step 2
Make several small slits in turkey skin in each breast and leg and place rosemary (or thyme) in the slits along with butter.
Step 3
Melt extra butter in microwave and then pour over entire turkey. Make sure all of the bird is covered.
Step 4
Place bird in oven for 15 minutes. Lower temperature to 350.
Step 5
When final internal temp is close (approximately 160) uncover the bird and roast for about 10-15 minutes until skin is browned and slightly crisped.
Step 6
Remove bird, cover and let rest for about 15-20 minutes.
Step 7
Remove breasts and legs before cutting up for serving.
