A quick and simple white wine, lemon, garlic, and butter sauce. This sauce takes about 10-15 minutes to cook and goes great with fish, chicken, or pasta. For an easy meal when short on time, cook up some angel hair pasta (cooks in 5-10 minutes) and toss in this sauce. An excellent meal for a cool summer night.

Instructions

Step 1
In a large skillet or sauce pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Saute the shallots until they start soften and start to turn translucent.
Step 3
Add the garlic and saute until it starts to turn brown.
Step 4
Add the wine and lemon juice, then simmer roughly 2-4 minutes stirring constantly.
Step 5
Once the liquid has reduced by 1/4-1/2, add the butter and stir until melted.
Step 6
Once the sauce has reached the desired consistency, add thyme, salt, and pepper to taste. Feel free to add capers, basil, or other spices to create new flavor profiles.
