Ingredients

1 lbshrimp
peeled, deveined, tail-off large
½ tspblack pepper
freshly cracked
1 tspkosher salt
2 Tbspghee
you can use avocado oil here, too
2cloves garlic
minced
1 tsplime zest
or the zest of 1/2 lime
3 TbspChipotle Hot Sauce
or compliant hot sauce that you like
2 Tbsplime juice
or the juice of 1 lime
1 headbibb lettuce
Cilantro leaves
optional for serving
1lime
cut into wedges, optional for serving
Instructions
Step 1
Slice shrimp in half, lengthwise. Season with the salt and pepper and toss to coat.
Step 2
Melt ghee in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook until just cooked through, 3 to 4 minutes, tossing halfway through.
Step 3
Add the garlic, lime zest and chipotle hot sauce and toss until well combined and heated through, 1 to 2 more minutes.
Step 4
Remove from heat and stir in the lime juice.
Step 5
Serve in lettuce leaves and topped with cilantro, if desired and serve with extra lime wedges. Enjoy!
