Instructions

Step 1
Make Chashni by cooking sugar, water and green cardamom till well mixed and add a pinch of food colour. (Tip: Once mixture is ready, scoop out the cardamom so nobody has to bite into it lol)
Step 2
In a separate pan, toast semolina for couple minutes on high heat so it turns golden
Step 3
Turn heat off and add the chashni
Step 4
Turn heat high and cook until it bubbles on top and is the right consistency. (Tip: Halwa hardens over time so don’t overcook it or it’ll be dry and not as soft. I stop cooking it once you put the spoon through it and it separates nicely)
Step 5
Garnish with Almonds and serve warm
