Instructions

Step 1
Turn your stove top to medium high heat and begin browning your ground Italian sausage
Step 2
While your meat cooks, chop your peppers and onion. Add it to the skillet to cook while the meat is continuing to brown
Step 3
Once your meat is fully cooked and no longer pink, drain the grease, add tomato paste, and season
Step 4
To the same skillet, add diced tomatoes, rice and broth
Step 5
Stir until well combined, and bring to a simmer
Step 6
Once simmering turn the heat to low, top with cheese, and cover
Step 7
Cook covered and on low for 15 minutes
Step 8
Once it’s done cooking, uncover and remove from heat. Let this sit for 5 minutes before serving
Step 9
Enjoy with sour cream!
