Use the best ingredients you can afford, dried muscat flower can be substituted with grated muscat. When using grated muscat don't add it when infusing the milk, but add it when melting the butter to bring the nutty flavor out more.

Instructions
Step 1
Infuse milk with thyme, peppercorns, dried muscat flower, parmesan rind and bay leaf by mixing everything, bringing it up a bit and letting it rest for 1 hour
Step 2
Melt butter in pan, gradually add sieved flower while constantly stirring with a whisk
Step 3
Cook the butter and flour mixture out a bit, but don't let it brown
Step 4
Gradually add the infused milk while stirring constantly at low heat until bechamel has desired texture
