Step 1
Add butter to a hot skillet along with onions, thyme, and mushrooms. Sautee until tender.
Step 2
Next add onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper. Mix together.
Step 3
Now stir in your chicken broth and heavy cream, then add the cream cheese and salt. Mix until well combined. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 4
To thicken remove from heat and use an immersion blender until your desired thickness.
