Instructions

Step 1
Prepare the baby broccoli first. Wash and trim the broccolini, removing any tough ends. Heat a skillet with a teaspoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the baby broccoli and sauté for 3-4 minutes, until slightly tender but still vibrant green. For extra flavor, add a crushed clove of garlic during the sautéing process, then discard it. Set the broccoli aside to cool slightly.
Step 2
Next, prepare the sausage. Remove the sausage casing and break the meat into small chunks. In the same skillet (or a clean one), cook the sausage pieces over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even browning. Set aside.
Step 3
Take the pizza dough and place it on a lightly oiled baking tray or parchment paper. Gently stretch it into your desired shape—round or rectangular. Let it rest and rise for 20-30 minutes at room temperature.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
Step 5
Once the dough has risen, spread the tomato sauce evenly over the surface using the back of a spoon. Add a pinch of salt and drizzle a teaspoon of olive oil over the sauce.
Step 6
Place the cooked sausage pieces evenly across the pizza, followed by the sautéed baby broccoli. Scatter the torn mozzarella on top, distributing it so that it melts evenly.
Step 7
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the dough. The edges should be golden, and the mozzarella melted and slightly bubbly.
Step 8
Remove the pizza from the oven, drizzle with a little extra olive oil if desired, and let it rest for 2-3 minutes before slicing.
