Chkmeruli (Georgian: ჩქმერული) is a traditional Georgian dish of chicken ( in a creamy garlic sauce.
Chicken legs are browned on both sides and than baked in a creamy garlic sauce with herbs. The traditional Georgian red clay baking dish is called ketsi.

2.5 lbchicken thighs
1 tspsalt
adjust to taste
1 tspblack pepper
ground, adjust to taste
1 Tbspavocado oil
for sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Rub chicken thighs with oil, salt, and pepper and marinate for 1 hour at room temperature or 6 hours in the refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 375F.

Heat avocado oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Brown chicken thighs until golden and place in baking dish.
Step 4
Prepare the sauce. Combine heavy cream, minced garlic, chopped herbs, spices, and salt to taste. Pour the sauce over the chicken and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
Step 5
Serve chkmeruli with crusty bread, pita, or flatbread, with which you can soak the sauce.
