Tiktok Mushroom Gnocci

These little mushroom looking “dumplings” are popular on TT, I grabbed a good recipe. There are definitely some variations out there.

Instructions

Step 1
Add your peeled and chopped potatoes to a pan of water and bring to the boil. Then leave to simmer for 10 minutes or until soft. Drain and then leave to cool.
Step 2
Mash the potatoes until smooth. Gradually add in your potato starch and knead the mixture to form a soft dough. Set aside for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Tear off small pieces of the dough and roll into little balls. There should be no cracks on them. Gently press the top of an empty glass bottle down into your potato ball to form a mushroom-like divot. Repeat this step for the other dumplings.
Step 4
Bring water to a boil and cook dumplings for a couple of minutes or until they float to the surface. Drain and place in your serving bowl.
Step 5
Top your dumplings with your gochugaru flakes, garlic, sesame seeds, coriander, salt, and sweetener. Then cover with your very hot oil and let it sizzle. Mix and serve.
