Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425ºF
Step 2
Boil brussels until tender (about 6 minutes), then drain and shock with cold water
Step 3
Season with salt, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and olive oil, and mix
Step 4
Lay out on a lined baking sheet, being sure to spread them out evenly.
Step 5
Smash with the bottom of a cup and sprinkle with black pepper
Step 6
Place in oven and bake for 15 minutes
Step 7
Flip brussels, add knobs of butter throughout pan
Step 8
Sprinkle brussels with a little bit of grated parmesan cheese and return to oven for an additional 15 minutes, or until slightly browned
