Instructions

Step 1
Place a sheet pan on the oven’s lowest rack and heat the oven to 450 degrees.
Step 2
To a large mixing bowl, add the bread flour, salt, instant yeast, lukewarm water, sugar, and olive oil.
Step 3
Bring the dough together using a hook attachment on a stand mixer or use a wooden spoon/rubber spatula. You can also knead it by hand. Knead together for about 2 to 3 minutes until you have a soft and elastic dough. It should be a bit sticky but not difficult to handle. If it is too sticky, add a tablespoon of flour.
Step 4
Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let it rest on the counter for 30 minutes.
Step 5
To a 9x13 deep baking pan, add 2 tablespoons olive oil and grease the bottom and sides well.
Step 6
Place a kitchen towel on a work surface, then place an upside-down sheet pan or cutting board on the towel. (This will serve as your pizza peel; the towel stabilizes the setup as you roll the dough.) Line the upside-down sheet pan with parchment paper, lightly grease the parchment paper with olive oil and place the dough on top. Stretch or roll the dough on the parchment into a 9-by-13-inch rectangle. If the dough shrinks, let it rest a few minutes before continuing.
Step 7
Add on sauce, cheese, and toppings
Step 8
Remove the heated sheet pan from the oven and carefully slide the parchment with the dough onto the hot baking sheet. Cook until the cheese and the crust is golden brown, 14 to 16 minutes.
