Instructions

Step 1
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Beat the eggs in a large mixing bowl.

2. Add the sugar, salt and vanilla sugar (or vanilla syrup), and whisk the ingredients together until frothy.

3. Add the milk and melted butter - stir to combine.
Step 4
4. Stir in the flour and baking powder.
Step 5
5. Continue stirring everything together until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Step 6
6. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into very fine slices using a mandoline or a sharp knife.

7. Fold the apple slices into the batter.
Step 8
8. Add the mixture to a greased and floured springform pan and distribute it evenly with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
Step 9
9. Let the cake cool down slightly before removing it from the pan. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar and vanilla ice cream, if desired.
