Dinner Green Beans

These green beans will not disappoint. Super easy and guaranteed no leftover.

Instructions

Step 1
Cut bacon into 1/2 inch sections and render in a sauce pan.

Removed render bacon from sauce pan and drain on paper towels.

Add canola oil if there is not enough bacon grease.

Add frozen seasoned vegetable mix to sauce pan. Make sure the pan is hot. Season with black pepper. Cook until tender. Tip: cooking frozen vegetables on high heat will render out the water content.

Add garlic clove and cook for about 30 seconds.

Add frozen cut green beans and red pepper flakes (optional)

Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil

Once boiling, turn the heat to low/simmer and add the rendered bacon. Then partially cover with a lid.

Cook the green beans until almost all the liquid is gone. Remove from heat and taste to see if you need any salt.

Enjoy as a side with my Crockpot Smothered Pork Chops.
