Instructions
Step 1
Peel apples and slice finely into casserole dish. Pour over them cinnamon, lemon rind and water.
Step 2
Sift flour, add sugar and fub in butter.
Step 3
Sprinkle on top of apples. Smooth top with the back of a wooden spoon.

Bake moderate oven for 35 to 45 minutes until apples are quite cooked and crumbs brown
