Instructions

Step 1
Using a serrated knife, cut the bread both ways to make small cubes. Do NOT cut all the way through. Leave at least a half inch of the bottom uncut.

Thinly slice the butter and stuff into the cuts you made in the bread.
Step 3
In a small saucepan, mix together cranberries, sugar, salt, water and pecans (if using).

Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir often. After a few minutes you will hear the cranberries begin to burst, once a couple have popped open it’s done. Remove from heat and set aside.

Preheat oven to 350.

Cut up the cheese into small rectangles and stuff them into the bread along with the butter. Fill every crevasse if possible. Save a couple pieces for the top.

Spoon over your cranberry sauce and press gently into the creases as well. Spread the rest on top of the loaf.

Add the last of the cheese to the top and bake for 15 minutes (or until cheese is melted).
