Instructions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350F
Step 2
Slice your croissants in half.
Step 3
In a bowl, massage the shredded phyllo with butter, sugar and a tiny bit of orange food coloring. Heat up a pan on medium heat and toast it for about 10 minutes. It’ll get darker and crunchy. Remove from heat.
Step 4
Place the croissants in a tray lined with parchment paper and fill each with 2-3 tbsp of cheese and then top it with the kataifi mixture. Leave a little bit for later. Cover with the other piece
Step 5
Bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is nice and melty. While its baking, make the simple syrup and cook until it comes to a boil.
Step 6
Take out the croissants from the oven and take off the top half and drizzle with the simple syrup. Brush the simple syrup on the inside and outside of the top half.
Step 7
Sprinkle with the kataifi pistachios and serve immediately. These are *best* served fresh and warm.
