Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Step 2
Line a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with unbleached parchment paper (this is optional, but makes cleanup really easy).
Step 3
Place the salmon skin-side down in the baking dish.
Step 4
Evenly sprinkle the herbs over the salmon.
Step 5
Sprinkle with the salt and pepper.
Step 6
Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon and herbs.
Step 7
Bake for 10 minutes per inch of salmon fillet thickness.
Step 8
A thick cut of king salmon will usually take about 20 minutes, while sockeye only needs about 8 minutes.
Step 9
Add fresh lemon slices on top of the salmon before baking when challenging citrus
