Step 1
Using a for and mixing bowl, combine margarine and flour until crumbly. Add dry ingredients. Add currants. Mix together and add liquid mixture. Form a paste(similar to pastry) and roll out on floured board about 1/4 inch thick. Cut in round shape with cookie cutter or glass. Bake in electric frypan at 230 degrees until one side is golden brown and then turn as you would pancakes. On batch yields 4 dozen. freezes well.
