Instructions

Step 1
STIR TOGETHER ALL INGREDIENTS IN 2-QUART MICROWAVE-SAFE BOWL. MICROWAVE ON HIGH POWER (100%) 5 MINUTES. REDUCE POWER TO MEDIUM (50%); MICROWAVE 20 MINUTES MORE OR UNTIL RICE IS TENDER AND LIQUID HAS BEEN ABSORBED, ADDING MORE TIME IN 5-MINUTE INCREMENTS ON MEDIUM POWER IF NECESSARY. LET STAND IN MICROWAVE 5 MINUTES; FLUFF RICE WITH FORK AND SERVE. STORE ANY LEFTOVERS COVERED IN REFRIGERATOR UP TO 1 WEEK. TIP: ADD YOUR FAVORITE HERBS AND SPICES WITH THE LIQUID TO MAKE A SAVORY SIDE DISH.
Step 2
TO FREEZE, PORTION RICE AS DESIRED INTO LABELED AND DATED FOOD STORAGE CONTAINERS WITH LIDS OR RESEALABLE PLASTIC BAGS. FREEZE UP TO 6 MONTHS.
Step 3
TO REHEAT, REMOVE LID FROM CONTAINER OR REMOVE RICE FROM PLASTIC BAG AND PLACE IN MICROWAVE-SAFE BOWL. COVER WITH PAPER TOWEL. MICROWAVE FROZEN RICE ON HIGH POWER (100%) 3-4 MINUTES OR UNTIL HEATED THROUGH, STIRRING ONCE HALFWAY THROUGH TIME. MICROWAVE THAWED RICE ON HIGH POWER 1-2 MINUTES OR UNTIL HEATED THROUGH, STIRRING ONCE HALFWAY THROUGH TIME.
