Baked Fish with Garlic Lemon Butter Sauce

This is a favorite baked white fish recipe. Seasoned with a classic blend of lemon, garlic, melted butter, and paprika, this simple dinner you'll have just enough time to whip up a sauce and side dish.

1kgFish Fillet
Cod, Halibut, Trouper or any white fish filet you desire

6 tablespoonsbutter

6 clovesgarlic
finely diced

1lemon
juiced

1 teaspoonpaprika

1 teaspoondried oregano
or thyme, or Mix

1 teaspoonlemon zest

1 teaspoonsea salt

½ teaspoonblack pepper

parsley
Chopped, for garnish

Red pepper flakes

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220C. Melt the butter in a small frying pan over medium heat, melt the garlic and let it cook for 1 minute, zest the lemon and add it to the butter.



Step 2
Dry the fish with paper towels, season both sides with with salt, pepper, paprika and oregano, thinly slice the lemon and place the slices in the bottom of a baking dish then lay the fish on top of the lemon slices, brush the garlic butter all over the fish.



Step 3
Bake the fish for 10-12 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork. Serve with a chopped parsley sprinkled on top and place a few lemon slices as well.
