Instructions

Step 1
Tenderize steak and cut into strips
Step 2
Egg mixture: combine 1 egg and 1/4c milk in a dipping bowl (your milk amount will vary based off of the consistency you want for the egg mixture)

Flour mixture: combine flour, garlic salt/pepper (to taste) in a dipping bowl

Crackers: In a gallon sized bag crush saltine crackers (start with a half sleeve and add more as needed)

Take a single steak strip and dip it in the egg mixture, then dip in flour mixture, dip in egg mixture again and add to bag of crushed crackers. Shake the bag until steak strip is well coated and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Repeat until all steak strips are breaded - (you may need to replenish your egg mixture, flour mixture and/or crackers throughout this process.
Step 7
While breading the steak fingers heat a pan of cooking oil, about 1/4” high, on med/high heat.

Add breaded steak fingers to the pan of hot oil and cook on each side until golden brown. Remove done steak fingers and add to the baking sheet, now lined with paper towels to soak up excess oil.

Serve

Step 9
If preferred make a packet of McCormick or Pioneer peppered white gravy. Serve with Ranch dressing.
