Instructions

Step 1
Night before you cook put meat in crockpot with garlic salt and pepper leave 8-10hrs
Step 2
Clean and soak husk in hot water for at least an hour
Step 3
Next day blend thawed Baca's red chili and add 2 tablespoons of flour
Step 4
In hot pan oil dump in red chili, stir for 5 minutes
Step 5
Add a cup of beef broth (add broth from crockpot) to pan and mix together
Step 6
Dump shredded meat into the chili mix
Step 7
Pat dry and pile up the husks
Step 8
Place masa in a big bowl and add a quarter cup of manteca (lard) with half a cup of hot water and knead it.
Step 9
When softened spread masa on corn husk kinda thin fold fold flip
Step 10
Place hot water in bottom of tamale steamer pan
Step 11
Put a coffee cup in middle upside down and assemble them like a tipi
Step 12
Wet some clean dish towels completely and place them over the top of the tamales
Step 13
Put lid over and cook it on LOW for 1-2 hours (don't let water dry up)
