1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Mix hash brown, soup, 1 3/4 cup cheese, sour cream, garlic powder and ham in a large bowl until ingredients are blended. Pour into a 9x13-inch baking dish.

3. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup of cheese over the mixture, then sprinkle potato chips on top of all.

4. Bake 50 minutes, or until the top is browned and the potatoes are bubbly.
