Bonnie's Banana Bread

This is the recipe my Grandma always used to make banana bread. She would always cut a slice and put butter on it then warm it up in the microwave. It was always my favorite! The recipe comes from an old Betty crocker cookbook my Grandmother had. It's delicious!

Instructions

Step 1
Cream together shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
Step 2
Sift together dry ingredients
Step 3
add to creamed mixture alternately with banana, blending well after each addition.
Step 4
Stir in nuts
Step 5
Pour into well greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
Step 6
Remove from pan, cool on rack. Wrap and store overnight.
