Cream Cheese Frosting
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350Β°F
Step 1
Combine cake mix, flour, eggs, melted butter, sour cream, & pink food coloring in lg. mixer bowl. Mix until it forms a thick dough.
Step 2
Using 1/4C, measure out 11-12 cookies. Use hands to press dough into a disc that is a thick, round circle. Bake 6 cookies at a time. Place the cookie on parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 3
Bake (9-11 min.) or until set. Bake any leftover dough in a sm. cookie (to break into crumbs & use for garnish on top of cookies.)
Step 4
Remove cookies from oven; cool completely on baking sheet.
Cream Cheese Frosting
Step 5
Mix softened cream cheese & butter in lg. bowl until creamy & smooth. Add vanilla & powdered sugar; continue to mix until you have a pipeable consistency. (Add enough milk to get desired consistency.)
Step 6
Add cream cheese frosting to piping bag; cut lg. triangle from bottom. Pipe in circular motion starting on outside & working your way to middle. Sprinkle the top of each cookie with cookie crumbs.
Notes
Step 7
* To make 18-20 smaller cookies, use a medium cookie scoop; bake (8-10 min.) Follow all of the other steps as directed.
Step 8
Store in an airtight container in refrigerator (up to 4 days) or freeze (up to 3 mo.)
