Ingredients
12 servings
Dough

4 cupsbread flour

½ cupsugar

1 cupmilk
warm

1 ½ tspactive dry yeast

½ tspsugar
for yeast mixture

3eggs
room temp

8 Tbspbutter

½ tspsalt

1 Tbspvanilla

1 Tbspcinnamon
topping
Instructions
Step 1
Activate yeast. Warm up milk in microwave for 15-30 seconds or until the milk is around 110-115
Step 2
Add in yeast & sugar to milk, mix and set aside in warm place until mixture starts to form bubbles.
Step 3
Combine dry ingredients & wet ingredients
Step 4
Mix all ingredients in a bowl or on a clean countertop and then start kneading.
Step 5
You will know the dough is kneaded when it's a smooth ball or you can poke it and it bounces back.
Step 6
In a butter or oiled bowl, cover dough and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours. (It should double in size)
Step 7
Once doubled in size, flour surface and press down on dough so all the air bubbles get out.
Step 8
Start to roll out dough and vou can either section the dough in half and then cut pieces (you can weigh each piece too) but I decided to make hearts so I used a cookie cutter
Step 9
You can use a plate or tortilla presser to press down topping.
Step 10
Add onto dough and cut how you would like it. (Try not to make the topping too thin, I did and it baked faster than the actual dough)
Step 11
Then cover and let rise for another 35-45 minutes.
Step 12
Bake at 350*F for 15-22 minutes (or until bottom of conchas are golden brown)
