You could substitute nectarines for the plums. Even apples would work. The amount of topping can be doubled if you want more crust on crumble depending on if you use an 8" or 9" pan. The amount in this recipe works best for an 8" round pan.

Instructions

Step 1
Prepare the topping: mix the flour, sugar, salt, and cinammon. Add the butter in 3 or 4 batches and work between your fingers until you have pea size clumps. (you can use a mixer). Add the oats and mix.
Step 2
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and butter your baking dish generously.
Step 3
Mix sugar, cinnamon, salt and flour together in a large bowl and then add fruit and toss to combine.
Step 4
Transfer fruit to baking dish and spread topping on top. Bake 45 to 50 mns until topping is golden.
Step 5
Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
