Instructions
Step 1
Starter (skip if using instant yeast): warm up milk, add 2 tbs of sugar and 2 tbs of flour and fresh yeast. Leave for a few minutes somewhere warm.
Step 2
Mix together to form dough and knead so it no longer sticks. Proof until it almost doubles in size, knock back the air out.
Step 3
Divide into 12 parts, braid 5, 4, 3. Put on baking paper, leave to rise for an hour. Pop in almonds to decorate, egg wash, stick in wooden sticks for support. Cover with baking paper.
Step 4
Bake with water at 200*C for 5min, then turn down to 160*C for 35-40min.
