500gBoneless Chicken
thigh pieces cut into tikka shapes
1 cupCoriander Leaves
½ cupMint leaves
4 nosGreen Chillies
Deseeded
8gGinger
chopped, 1 inch piece
5Garlic Cloves
2 Tbswater
Green Paste
made earlier with the above ingredients
¼ cupGreek Yogurt
¼ tspturmeric powder
¼ tsppepper powder
1 tspgaram masala powder
½ tspKasuri Methi
dry roasted and crushed into powder
1 tspsalt
1 tspLemon Juice
1 ½ TbspOil
Instructions
Step 1
in a blender add the corriander, mint,chillies, ginger and garlic and course grind, then add the water to make into a smooth paste
Step 2
cut the chicken into tikka style strips (4cm wide)
Step 3
in a bowl add the remaining ingredients and the green paste, mix well
Step 4
add the chicken into the marinade and leave for a few hours, overnight is better.
Step 5
skewer chicken and cook on bbq
