Instructions

Step 1
Start by soaking the dates in warm filtered water for about an hour. Place them in a small bowl and cover with water. More time is always better to softened them.
Step 2
After the dates soak, drain the liquid accept for about 1 Tbsp of the water they soaked in.
Step 3
Put the dates and 1 Tbsp of the soaking liquid in a food processor and blend until the dates are broken down.
Step 4
Next, add the walnuts and pulse until the walnuts and dates start to make a thick paste.
Step 5
Now add the vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, sea salt, almond butter, protein (or you can sub for chocolate collagen powder or unsweetened cocoa). Blend everything in the food processor until it forms a thick paste that almost looks like fudge.
Step 6
**note - I like to put the almond butter into a small ramekin and microwave it for about 30 seconds to 1 minute before adding it so that it's is loosened up and easier to work with and blend.
Step 7
After everything is blended well place the mixture into a glass or ceramic covered bowl and place in the refrigerator or a minimum of an hour.

Eat and Enjoy!!' 1 ball is 1 serving.
Step 10
