Step 1
Preheat oven to 350º. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and grease with cooking spray.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3
In another large bowl, mix together melted butter, sugar, egg and egg yolk, sour cream, and vanilla. Add mashed bananas and stir until combined. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined.
Step 4
Fold in chocolate chips and transfer half to the prepared loaf pan. Top with 1/4 cup of Nutella and swirl it in with a knife, then repeat with the remaining batter and Nutella.
Step 5
Bake until a internal temperature reaches between 200 and 205 about 1 hour. Let cool 10 minutes in pan, then turn out onto a cooling rack to cool completely. Tip: when checking temp insert the thermometer all the way in then slowly pull it out watching the temp change. This will give you an accurate idea if there is a middle that is not done. You will likely get inaccurate readings when you get to just the tip of the thermometer inserted into the bread and that's to be expected.
