2.5 lbsteak
short rib, chuck/stew
½ tspsalt
2 ½ tspblack pepper
2 Tbspolive oil
1onion
4cloves garlic
5 Tbspflour
1 ¼ cbeef stock
3 cred wine
2 Tbsptomato paste
1 tspworcestershire
2bay leaves
1egg
Puff pastry

or short crust pastry

Instructions
Step 1
1. Add oil to pan and brown steak pieces.
Step 2
2. Remove steak from pan. Add Onion and garlic. Cook till onion softens.
Step 3
3. Add flour, beef stock, red wine, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt to pan. Stir thoroughly.
Step 4
4. Add cooked beef and bay leaves to solution.
Step 5
5. Let solution simmer for 1 hour 45 minutes or 30 minutes in instant pot.
Step 6
6. Stir solution and let simmer without lid for another 30 minutes or till gravy thickens.
Step 7
7. Grease pie tins and add pie crusts.
Step 8
8. Add pie filling to pie tins.
Step 9
9. Egg brush the rim of pie crust.
Step 10
10. Add puff pastry to top of pies.
Step 11
11. Egg brush top of pies.
Step 12
12. Pierce top of pies to allow vent
Step 13
13. Bake pies in oven at 380ºF for 25 minutes or until golden
