Step 1
Cook macaroni until tender. Drain and rinse in cold water. Put drained macaroni in a deep casserole dish. In a medium saucepan, combine cream of chicken soup, milk, salt and pepper, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 4 slices of American cheese and the colby cheese cubes. Pour melted cheese mixture over macaroni and stir well. Tear up remaining slices of American cheese and stir into the macaroni. Top with the remaining cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned on top.
