Crunchy Top Mac and Cheese

This pasta recipe is so good, you'll be bagging for more! This recipe is perfect for a lunch or simply supper.
*Note: butter a round 9x13 inch baking pan.
Pro tips:
1. Grease your pan with vegetable oil prevent from sticking, and to add a yummy taste!
2. Take the cream cheese out of the fridge 30 to 60 minutes prior to cooking.

Ingredients
8 servings

4 ½ cupwhole milk

8 ouncescream cheese
room temperature

1 ½ tspkosher salt

1 tspdry mustard powder

½ tspfreshly ground black pepper

¼ tspcayenne pepper
optional

¼ tspnutmeg
freshly grated

1 ½ cupspanko bread crumbs

⅔ cupgrated parmesan cheese

4 Tbspbutter
melted, unsalted

1 poundmacaroni pasta

5 cupssharp cheddar cheese
or extra-sharp
Instructions
Step 1
In a blender or food processor, blend the milk, cream cheese, salt, mustard powder, black pepper, cayenne, and nutmeg until smooth.









Step 2
In a medium sized bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, parmesan, and melted butter until the crumbs are coated with butter.




Step 3
Put the macaroni and the cheddar cheese into a circular baking dish and mix them together really well so the cheese is well dispersed amid the pasta.




Step 4
Pour in the milk mixture and carefully give everything a good stir. Sprinkle the bread-crumb mixturley evenly on top.


Step 5
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 425°F. Then, raise the heat to 450°F and continue to bake until the top is golden and bubbling, 15 - 20 minutes longer.


Step 6
When finished baking, remove the pan from the oven and let it sit for a least 10 minutes before serving.
