Instructions

Sauce

Step 1
Sauté onion, butter and garlic. Add ketchup, distilled white vinegar, brown sugar, and pepper. Simmer 5 min.

Meat Loaf

Step 2
Mix together ground beef, onions, eggs, breadcrumbs, and pepper. Add 3 tablespoons of sauce to mixture. Don’t over mix the mixture or it can become tough and dry.
Step 3
Makey two loaves in a casserole dish. Spoon Some BBQ sauce on top of the loaves. Lay 2 pieces of bacon on top.
Step 4
Cook at 400 degrees for 30-45 min until bacon is done and meat has an internal temperature of 170 degrees. Let is rest for 10 minutes before slicing, so all the juices seep back into the meat.
Step 5
Will keep in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
